Objectives

  • Review current epidemiology and pathophysiology data of HIV.
  • Explore appropriate antiretroviral regimens for treatment-naïve and treatment-experienced patients, based on updated guidelines.
  • Examine and discuss barriers pharmacists may face in treatment of patient with HIV, including suboptimal adherence, mediation errors and adverse effects/interactions.
