PHS Guidelines for COVID-19 HIV Clients

Objectives

• Describe the signs and symptoms associated with the development of COVID-19
• Explain preventative measures for COVID-19
• Identify recommendations on antiretroviral therapy, clinic, and lab visits for people with HIV
• State the guidelines pertaining to the care of the HIV patient with COVID-19
• Outline recommendations for people in self isolation/quarantine, and effects of quarantine and social distancing measures on people living with HIV
• Identify strategies to help HIV patients remain engaged in care and maintain adherence
