  • To explain nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic (non-opioid and opioid analgesics) therapies and how to integrate them into a pain treatment plan

  • To outline strategies on how to counsel patients and caregivers and the use of naloxone for opioid overdose
  • To outline the fundamental elements of addiction medicine and when to refer to pain specialists
  • To discuss how to identify and manage patients with opioid use disorder
