  • Identify common adverse effects of antiretrovirals (ARVs) that can limit or interfere with sports and occupational exercise.
  • Define the available evidence on the impact of exercise as a form of self-care on the common symptoms of HIV infection.
  • Identify and discuss benefits associated with exercise on HIV infection related complications to the immune system, musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, and mental health.
