Objectives

  • Describe the basic structure, function, epidemiology and clinical disease of the novel coronavirus (SARS Co-V2)
  • Identify the clinical rationale and use of anticoagulants, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and immunologic agents in management of COVID19 infections
  • Define the regulatory status and potential use of novel vaccines in the prevention and/or management of COVID19 infections
  • Describe any major considerations for the use of evidence-based therapies for COVID19 management in HIV-co-infected persons
  • Identify predictors/barriers of inadequate adherence
  • Explain basic methods for assessment of treatment adherence
  • Describe at least one specific tool used for monitoring and documenting adherence
