Objectives

  • Demonstrate an understanding of current Hepatitis C drug regimen efficacy and safety outcomes compare to previous interferon-based regimens.
  • Define specific factors and parameters to be considered prior initiation of hepatitis C treatment and choice of a regimen.
  • Recognize the challenges and monitoring parameters when treating a unique patient population of HCV Infected patients (renal failure, HIV/HCV co-infected, decompensated cirrhotic, or transplant patients).
